Hänninen came second in Austria
Taking place in the surroundings of the Austrian town of Freistadt, the opening event of the European and Czech Championships, the Jänner Rally, has been dominated by Skoda Motorsport crews. After a dramatic spectacle, Jan Kopeck & Pavel Dresler won and their teammates Juho Hänninen & Mikko Markkula came second. |

Hänninen to enter the 2012 season at the Jänner Rally
Ready to field both of its factory crews, the Skoda Motorsport team is entering the 2012 season at the Jänner Rally to take place in Austria over the first weekend of January. After the most successful season in its history, Skoda Motorsport wants to fight for the top ranks also in this season, and will focus on three series in total. |

Hänninen remains with Skoda for 2012
The Skoda Motorsport team will continue the Fabia Super 2000 project also in the upcoming year 2012. This year the project has led to the greatest achievements in the brand's long history of motorsport efforts. Juho Hänninen and Mikko Markkula remain the brand's factory drivers for 2012. |
JUHO FACTS
For Juho Hänninen the climb towards the top of the rallying has begun in an idyllic place in Vaara in Punkaharju, Finland.
Hänninen's father was an enthusiastic and successful rally driver in his youth and he was the one who inspired Hänninen behind the wheel for the first time.
Hänninen was only 15 when his rallying career begun, first by racing in the everyman's class and swiftly proceeding to Young Drivers sprints with Skoda within a year.
In the sprint tracks Hänninen was a common sight with the VW Golf.
In 1999 Hänninen drove his first rally with the same VW Golf. Since then, he has been uplifting the road dust behind the wheels of Volvo, Seat, Honda as well as Mitsubishi.
